Provincial law requires a minimum 15 month apprenticeship period covering at least 2 hunting seasons. Before you can receive your apprentice falconry licence, your application must be co-signed by a sponsor. A sponsor is an experienced falconer who is willing to teach and guide you as you train your first bird.
